The Newborn Photoshoot Experience

When to Book Your Newborn Photoshoot?

I recommend booking during your second trimester. If you are planning to do a maternity session as well, the second trimester is the ideal time to book. The maternity session will take place during the 26th-33rd week of pregnancy.

When to schedule the newborn session?

The session will be scheduled between 7 to 21 days after the birth of the baby. Please let the photographer know when the baby arrives.

Preparing for your Newborn Photography Session

I will send an email with all of the details on how to prep your house and clothing guidance for the day of the session. I am happy to help on the day of to prepare the rooms that will be used for the session. The rooms do not need to be spotless. All that I need is a window and subjects.

During the Session

My pace is calm and relaxed, and I allow for breaks for feeding. I always include siblings and pets, if desired. The session may last up to two hours.

Following the Session

All of the images taken will be carefully culled and edited and placed into an online gallery. Within 2-3 weeks of the session, my clients can expect to receive their gallery.

Receiving the Gallery

Within the personalized gallery, the client can choose to order prints, canvases, and digital images in an a la carte format, a collection, or the entire digital gallery. The prints that are ordered will be printed through a professional lab.

Where does Lifestyle Newborn Photography take place?

In the comfort of your home! Photographing in your home allows the newborn and siblings to be in a familiar and comfortable space. Older siblings can take snack and drink breaks, pick out books to read, or even play with favorite toys.

I am also happy to take photos of you and your family in your backyard, on your front porch, or anywhere that is special to you on your property.

I photograph families in Howard County and the surrounding counties of Carroll County, Baltimore County, Anne Arundel County, Montgomery County, and Washington D.C.
